All auto manufactures now are competing with each other for the greenest vehicle. A green vehicle wiil use less power and puts out far less pollution than norm gas powered cars.
Green vehicles are mostly known as hybrid powered. Hybrids save power and put out less pollution by using and electric generator to assist the vehicle propulsion. This allows the engine to use one filth the power it would normally need.
So how would you promote these cars? I would use public relation skills to get the word out about these new cleaner forms of vehicles. I would first start by going to big well know auto shows and construct a team of professionals who know the car inside and out and get them to talk to people. If using PR can persuade the general public into purchasing these green machines then that would be a good start to a cleaner world.

Slow start may alter Ford's Flex marketing

The Ford Flex is a brand new model that ford released this year. It is technically a crossover but most people refer to it as a station wagon because of its boxy but stylish looks. It is designed to seat seven people and have class leading fuel economy compared to other seven seater crossovers.
Ford projected that the annual sales for the Flex were going to be about 100,000, but this was not the case. Fords annual sales fell behind and because of this they will have to cancel plans for a third shift and about 1000 jobs this summer.
Ford is considering changes to the Flex's marketing, but maybe they should look into public relations to cast a new spotlight on the model. Ford should spend some of its budget on PR to market it's Flex to new customers. A seminar could be held with journalists, test drivers and everyday people on the street where they could test drive the Flex and learn about its features and benefits. Then the word of mouth and positive articles about the Flex would be published in car magazines and in the media to promote this new model from Ford.

Bomb-grade chemical in tear gas shot at protesters
There have been many problems lately between the people of Thailand and their government. Last week during a Bangkok rally crowds of protesters fled the streets to protest the Thai government.
Things were getting out of control and a riot was starting so the police used three types of tear gas from China, the United states and Spain. These weapons were not intended for bodily harm, but several protesters had their limbs and feet blown off. An experiment showed that some of the gasses used contained RDX. This is a chemical used to make bombs. This should not be in a non lethal weapon.
Two organizations have had their reputation deeply damaged by this occurrence. First is the Bangkok police for knowing and willingly using a weapon against citizens that can cause severe bodily harm. In my opinion they should give a country wide apology, get rid of the defective tear gas and give support to those who have been injured. The second is the company that sold defective tear gas to the Bangkok police. The company should be stripped of there license to make bombs and have to give compensation to the victims of the rally.
